Holistic Dentistry: A Whole Body Approach | Dr. Rachaele Carver with Dr. Christine Schaffner
With more and more people seeking natural or holistic alternatives when it comes to their food, products, and healthcare, it’s no wonder that holistic dentistry is on the rise as well.
In today’s episode, Dr. Christine Schaffner talks with Dr. Rachaele Carver D.M.D. about dentistry with a naturopathic and biologic whole-body approach. Dr. Carver helps us understand what holistic dentistry is and the steps we can take to prevent dental issues in a natural, holistic way.
Dr. Rachaele Carver grew up in Williamstown and graduated from Mt. Greylock Regional High School in 1995. After her BS from Davidson College in 1999, she continued to UCONN School of Dental Medicine where she received her doctorate in 2003. She is a Dawson Academy Scholar, having done two years of additional training to become more proficient in TMJ diagnosis, treatment, and complex esthetic and functional cases. She is certified in ozone therapy and in January 2020 received her board certification in Naturopathic and Biologic Dentistry.

Dr. Carver grew up in Williamstown and graduated from Mt. Greylock Regional High School in 1995. After her BS from Davidson College in 1999, she continued to UCONN School of Dental Medicine, where she received her doctorate in 2003.
Following a year of residency, Dr. Carver joined Newbury Dental Associates in Boston, MA, where she practiced for 3 years. In 2007 Dr. Carver returned to Berkshire County and worked for Hillcrest Dental in Pittsfield. Dr. Carver purchased Dr. Puccio’s practice in North Adams and renovated the office in March 2009. In 2013, Dr. Carver purchased her existing building and had continued to expand to offer the highest quality services.
Dr. Carver consistently attends continuing education classes to learn about the latest improvements in dentistry. She is a Dawson Academy Scholar, having done two years of additional training to become more proficient in TMJ diagnosis, treatment, and complex esthetic and functional cases.
In 2016 she earned her nutrition certificate from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition and used this knowledge to educate and treat a patient’s whole body. She is certified in ozone therapy and, in January 2020, received her board certification in Naturopathic and Biologic Dentistry.
She is married and has two daughters.
