Kate Strakosch is a nourishment coach who believes in the inner and outer connection of wellness and radiance. She is the owner and founder of Sunshine Kate’s wellness center, with two locations in Wanamassa and Red Bank, NJ. She has a degree in whole-foods based nutrition from Bastyr University in Seattle, Washington. Upon graduating, she expanded her education by becoming an esthetician to understand the relationship between skin health and nutrition. Katie is also a certified yoga instructor. She has been teaching yoga for over a decade in many different environments including private clients, retreats, corporate settings, libraries, hospitals, hospice centers, schools and plenty of outdoor classes on the beach and over the bay!
Kate has studied under Sierra Bender, founder of Goddess to the Core, and is an Inside Out Workout Instructor. This is part of the Sierra Bender Empowerment Method. This method empowers women to face their fears, awaken their spirit and redefine what it means to thrive in the world. It is part physical workout, part yoga practice, part spiritual reflection. She worked as a nutritionist at Sophia Health Institute in Woodinville, WA which is one the nation’s leading health clinics focused on chronic illness. She also spent time in Aspen, CO where she worked as a whole body detox educator facilitating programs with sauna therapy, colon hydrotherapy and nutritional support.
After moving back to New Jersey in 2008, Sunshine Kate’s came to fruition through leading cooking classes for both adults and children, as well as providing gluten free goodies for local juice bars and coffee shops. Kate’s work deepened into understanding women’s health as she worked through her own hormonal distress with PCOS. This led her to dive into offering womb wellness services in her practice. The services offered under this realm allow women to heal, restore and nourish their wombs on physical and emotional levels.
Kate focuses on nourishment through connecting nutrition, movement, self-care and creativity.
